Our story
The Ohio Aviation Foundation was founded in 2023 by the Ohio Aviation Association to give the state’s aviation community a charitable home. Ohio’s airports, flight schools, and aviation businesses all face the same challenge: the next generation of pilots, mechanics, and airport professionals has to come from somewhere.
The Foundation answers with direct support — scholarships for Ohio students entering aviation careers, educational programming that puts aviation in front of young people, and backing for the initiatives that keep the industry strong. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible, and our fund at the Cleveland Foundation stewards every dollar.
